About ISHC

The 3rd International Symposium on Smart and Healthy Cities (ISHC2021) will be held in Toronto, Canada betweenDecember 13 and 15, 2021.

ISHC is jointly organized by University of Toronto, Fudan University, Institute on Networking Systems of AI (INSAI) . Since then, it has been successfully held for two times in Shanghai (2019, 2020) respectively, and it has attracted hundreds of participants and become a platform with great influence in Chinese, North America and European government, enterprises, scientific research institutions.

As an academic symposium, ISHC2021 aims to bring together researchers and scientists from intelligent building, smart and healthy city, researchers from various application areas to discuss problems and solutions in the area, to identify new issues, and to shape future directions for research.   • Petros Spachos:

    Associate Professor at the School of Engineering, University of Guelph.

    Research field:mobile systems and the Internet of Things (IoT).

  • Michael Widener:

    Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and Planning at the University of Toronto.

    Research field:Food environments and links to health and well-being; Urban mobility and accessibility issues; Spatial differences in time use; Mental health and well-being, isolation, and loneliness in cities; Spatiotemporal access to primary care, pharmacies, and other health facilities.

  • Gian Luca Brunetti:

    Associate professor of Architectural Technology at the Polytechnic of Milan.

    Research field:building design, building optimization, meta modelling, design methods, bioclimatic design.

Submission Instructions

ISHC2021 follows the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible procedures against any publication misconduct. This Conference does not accept any type of plagiarism, which means that any author replicating a significant part of another's work without acknowledging him/her or passing another's work off as his/her own are not tolerated and not published.

All authors submitting their works to the ISHC2021 for publication as original works confirm that the submitted papers are their own contributions and have not been copied in whole or in part from other works.

Each submission is anonymously reviewed by an average of three independent reviewers, to ensure the final high standard and quality of each accepted submission. The ISHC2021 guarantees that the entire peer review and publication process is meticulous and objective. Furthermore, all works not in accordance with these standards will be removed from the publication if malpractice is revealed at any time even after the publication. Every case of suspected plagiarism or duplicate publishing will be reported.
